Willamette Week Praises the Pants - June 17, 2009

This is a preview of our Backspace show.

Thanks willy week !

"Alan Singley and Pants Machine’s compositions are as soft and dreamy as a Creamsicle in summer. The local sextet (newly minted with two horn players!) busts out catchy, meticulously orchestrated tracks that swim into your ears, float around your brain, and leave you feeling full-hearted and fuzzy. Singley’s seamless mix of guitars, horns, strings and percussion on the band’s 2006 full-length, Lovingkindness, is soul music at its finest, and the band’s new record, Feelin’ Citrus, is ready to drop at the end of August. Joined by the jaunty melodies of local quartet Pep Assembly, and the syncopated electronica of Yeah Great Fine, the night has the characteristics of a full-blown pop fest."
